Hi there! I’m David, and I’m 49 years old, originally from Long Island, New York. I am married to the love of my life, Tammy!
I moved here to Virginia 31 years ago. I am a graduate of Harborfields High School, class of 93, and a 2005 graduate of Gadsden State Community College, Gadsden AL, with a degree in 911 Telecommunications.
I’m a IT Technical Services Manager by profession, and my passion has always been helping people. My largest passion use to be volunteering as a Firefighter & EMT in my spare time but in the last several years, life has gotten in the way of that. I served close to 20 years at Tunstall Fire & Rescue before becoming inactive.
While growing up, I spent a lot of time at my parents lakeside cottage, at Prospect Lake in North Egremont Mass.
Some of the things that I like to do include, watching NFL Football, traveling, camping, swimming, snowmobiling, photography and shooting pool. I love to listen to music too, most types but especially alternative & 90’s music, and classic rock. I enjoy movies, Chinese & Mexican food. I’m a big Glock fan and an avid gun and shooting enthusiast. I am also a certified Glock Armorer. I got started in Amateur (Ham) Radio. back in 2000. I got my ARRL WAS and then wound up with antenna issues and am currently not on the air unfortunately. In 2009 I bought a 2005 Harley 15th Anniversary Fatboy. Nothing like having the wind in your face!
I am a huge New England Patriots football fan and also enjoy the Virginia Tech Hokies Football team which I had the pleasure of seeing in person a few years ago.
I enjoy collecting many things, new and old Police, Fire & EMS items and memorabilia, patches, and especially Zippo Lighters and accessories.
You can normally find me hanging out at eBay buying and selling these things.
